I did an update on my iPad for candy crush soda. I get to area where I press play and it boots me out.

Iโm sorry to hear this. This also happens to me sometimes after an update on iPad, or sometimes my profile won't load. Whenever I notice something like that I always do the same trick that helps me.
==> Force close the app, reboot my iPad, and log into the game again.
