I've been stuck on level 2025 for 8 weeks. Could there be something wrong with my game? Or am I to understand I must buy extra 300 moves. It reached 300 once and then started over about 6 weeks ago.

I understand that sometimes it can be so frustrating to get stuck especially if you want to move forward. It helps to take a break from it temporarily. Just keep in mind that most levels are not as difficult.
If you encounter a very difficult level like this, if I may make a suggestion, try to set a time where you can get both coloring candy and coloring bomb together in your Daily Bonus. What I mean is, know when is the day you're getting the coloring candy as your daily bonus, then purposely don't turn on your game that day until it's 5 to 10 minutes prior to your second daily bonus which is usually the color bomb that follows. When you do this, you'll get both coloring candy and coloring bomb together along with 1 hour of timed life.
This will make it much easier to complete any difficult levels because as you know when you hit both of them together, it will pretty much clear the board and make ice and licorice link disappear.
You don't need to buy anything. Please don't allow yourself to get frustrated because of a game. You will lose the enjoyment that made you play this in the first place.

Yes this is all helpful and am well aware how to use the fishes. It just seems 2 months is excessively long to pass a level so I thought perhaps I wouldn't be able to pass without spending money this time. This game frustrates me and just wish these hard levels weren't so impossible. Sorry to complain
Hi again. The best help is Swedish fish (double fish). When you create fish, they swim to the peppermint sticks to spread the jam. Then, when you have 2 striped candies in place of the peppermint stick, use them together so that you hit the fish on the right side to spread jam.
Continue creating fish; these will spread the jam and remove the ice and licorice. Try to create a coloring candy and combine it with a fish. That will be a big help, especially if you have the double Swedish fish.
