Merry Christmas Everyone
I missed out on the previous chats, due to tagging issues.
My plans for Christmas is to stay home with my daughter, and bake cookies.
She wanted me to cook a ham. I would have but I have a tendency of destroying it. I just don't knoow what I do to that poor ham?
I follow cooking instructions from the net and cooking shows and for some reason that ham is always overcooked. So this year, I am going to play it safe and going to make arroz con mole. It just the two of us anyway. ( that was her second choice) π

I have my son, mum and dad coming up for Christmas. Picking up my turkey, sausage meat and oak smoked streaky bacon from the local butcher on Saturday and making stock from the giblets ready for the gravy on Christmas Day. I will also start making savoury dishes. We have a large gathering on Boxing Day in my holiday let for the whole family.
I tried to reply but for some unknown reason my plans for Christmas are not allowed to be posted.
Hi @Yosca. I have no idea what I'll be eating this Christmas, as I don't yet know where and with whom.I'll be spending my time.
It's not really traditional but rather small aperitif dishes, Roti, Christmas log and lots of other good things π

My plan for Christmas is to spend the whole weekend with my family to enjoy New Year's Eve even more and eat very good traditional dishes.

I have my daughter and her husband coming on Christmas Day. We'll all cook together making Turkey with all the fixings, potato salad (I make great potato salad), deviled eggs, green bean casserole, dinner rolls, cheesy potatoes with a crumbled bacon topping, gravy, stuffing and pecan pie, Fritos and cream cheese homemade dip.and plenty of deserts
We'll watch a Christmas movie after opening presents then board game in the evening! my other daughter can't make it this year and Nana (me) will miss them terribly. Especially my grandson.
That's about all for us.

Our traditional Christmas dinner is Standing rib roast with Yorkshire pudding.

We are with our relatives for the holidays. We come from the east and are heading west. So it becomes an East and West meal. My cousin does what they always do and we bring a typical Erzgebirge food tradition with us. My other cousin brings dessert. Everyone brings something with them. We would be about 19 people.
