Why does my wife's game give options to watch videos for extra moves and mine doesn't

I understand you'd like to have the same features your wife has as well. However, please note that special events like these are bonus features in the game, therefore not designed to be available for everyone at the same time.
There's a really simple reason to that: to help keep things fresh and interesting, our studio need to thoroughly check how everything is working during gameplay, so these special features may appear or disappear during ongoing tests, as well as during scheduled maintenance checks.
As features come and go to make the game more interesting, it's possible not to see the same elements as your friend or they’ll not see something you have. I hope this helps, but let me know if I can answer any other questions.
