Hiya there @Dgreg just ensure your game is updated and you have good internet connection. The team contributions should be registering atleast.
I the game is stuck/ frozen. Please do the troubleshooting tips as mentioned by our expert Freddy. Let us know if it works or not.

Please check your device and game are up to date and if playing via an internet browser clear the browser cache. Log out and restart your device and then log back in
