This can happen after an update and usually it should solve by itself. Try playing a level to make sure your game is connected to the server and/or move between portals a bit.

also ,after you've opened the game, click the blue cogwheel icon then "home" icon and "play!" again. Trying this a few times might help too.

Do you usually have this navigation map with portals or did it replace the current one without portals after the update?

If features don't reappear (Android):

Check again for updates in your app store, log out from your King/Fb account; clear the app cache (be careful not to delete data instead, those are for your boosters) in your device app settings; restart device; log back in and clear a level. Again, clicking blue cogwheel icon you find in navigation map, then home icon and "play!" icon might help too, especially after clearing cache.

If this still doesn't work then there's nothing else to do but wait for them to reappear. Features might be missing for temporary problems that players have no power on 🙂
