When your game puts rewards on the Game Board and you use one such as a Fish and a Striped Candy together, or two Chocolate Freckles together, it wipes out all other rewards on the game board. The rewards should remain on the board for later use.

When two chocolate freckles are matched together, they're supposed to clear items off the board. It's how they work. the combination is strong enough to remove all free candies and 1 layer of blockers all over the board.
As for the fish and striped candy combination, once it's activated it destroys candies with a blast either horizontally or vertically. Any free candy on the blast path gets removed.
Boosters given at the beginning of the level should be used as soon as possible because they can be detroyed even if players don't mean to.
