Weekly contest
In the weekly contest we should be matched to players on similar levels. I am currently matched with one player who is on a much lower level.
This obviously makes it much easier for them to pass new levels and get to the number 1 spot. It just seems pointless trying when they are so far in front. You just know it’s not achievable. I will never win it 3 times in a row.

Agreed. I blew past everyone when I restarted Soda from the beginning. It was too easy.
I would have blown past anyone on the same level because I play a lot. I have chronic pain, and it's how I distract my brain from the agony. But at least players on a similar level would have a shot at passing me.

I agree. The allocation of players should not only be made fairer at the Weekly contest but in general at all events such as World Surfing Championship, Kimmy's collection campaign (yellow or cyan candies or fish).
I'm at level 12,400 and I'm only getting 45 new levels every week. I can't compete with that on any leaderboard.
When I click on the player's avatar in the leaderboards, I often see that players are assigned to the leaderboards who have just started the game or are at a low level.
So my addition to this idea is:
- apply it to all events
- Group players of similar level with each other (maybe in 500 or 1000 increments) Example: in one group there are newcomers up to level 500, in another group there are players between level 12000 and 12500. That would make things fairer for me.
