It says that there is a yellow arrow at the bottom at the left hand of the screen but mine doesn't. What else can I do? Cheers

As far as I know it's not possible to pause the game and I also play the game on my laptop.
You can leave the game window open to do something else on your pc and then return to your game window when you're ready to resume playing.
Timer of timed boosters will keep going, it can't be paused.
