If you both use the same game account on the same device then there's no problem
If you both use different game accounts on the same device there's a great risk of accounts merging. Once accounts merge, they cannot be separated, not even by customer service, and one progress of two accounts (usually the lowest one) will be permanently lost
It happened to me as well soon after creating a second account so I now use only one account
