Why are the hints flashing special candies, striped wrapped fish etc., when they can't be moved?

As mentioned in the thread, have you tried double tapping the special candies to see if they get activated? There's a new test in the game where you can use the candies by double tapping them.

There was this 'new feature' pop up one day only, but it made no sense what was told.

When I see the flashing booster I can double tap it and the booster does what’s needed without having to match it. It does count as a move just by itself, but is useful if it’s not near something to be matched.
So annoying. What's the point of it? Are they saying we should try to make moves trying to get to it? As if we don't know that? And I play on my laptop where there is no setting to turn off hints.

I noticed that too. Since the update here in June, it now doesn't flash hints, but instead flash a booster, like we can't see it's there.

Im curious if I could have possibly reached the highest score made on this level. What are other's score on level 464? It just kept counting up special candies before counting my remaining moves.
