Hmm that is strange that the candy wasn’t counted 😢 The servers may not have registered it. I regularly check in my game whether the candy is being counted. If not, I force quit, log in again and replay a level. Then I play a level and check the candy in the event (same in Kimmy's hunt etc)
Since you have screenshots you could contact Support. Perhaps they are willing/able to compensate you.
