What happened to the other players that helped get 4 in a row and boosters. All of a sudden they are gone and I'm the only one playing.

Thanks for the tips. I have used them in the past but I still like playing with others when I am stuck on a Super Hard level.
You can pick what task you want to complete. Most of them you don't need to complete a level to do, and if you're on a task that doesn't suit your level, you can click on your task in the 4 in a row line, and click Shift. You're not forced to complete the task you first picked, if you have a level that suits other tasks better.
4 in a Row is definitely easier to play on your own, with unlimited tasks you can do, rather than only being able to do only do two a day, and having to pick a new line, bc a team mate isn't playing and blocks the line.

That is happening to me too and I am on a super hard level! Why does King need to keep making this game more difficult? I am not going to keep spending my hard-earned money to play Candy Crush! Please let us play 4 in a row with other players. This is so frustrating!

I read from others, who has this new version, that those of you who has this version can play all the tasks you want, instead of only two tasks a day (as it is with group plays if 4 in a Row).
So you will no longer be blocked by having to wait, if others aren't playing. This is an update I would like to get myself 😆
Thats how mine is i guess they changed it because of some plaers blocking rows
