How come I can't use my boosters in "the bakery"? I'm new to this game… also what does it mean to loose the chef hat. Thanku

Losing the Chef's Hat is when you don't complete a level in the cake. Then you go to Cake 'jail', and must either complete 5 regular game levels, to gain your hat back, so you can play on the cake again, or if one of your team mates does it first, then they open the cake and release you from the Jail.
This goes on until cake is either completed, or time runs out.
You can also spend 3 gold to open your Jail again, but I will always advice to try and play levels as main way to do it.
1. I think you are referring to the ''Bake A Cake'' task of ''CCSS''.
2. The level of Bake A Cake disables the “pre-level booster” and can only use the “in-level booster”.
3. When baking a cake, you cannot fail, otherwise you will lose the qualification to bake cakes (chef hat) and be sent to prison.
People in prison can release all teammates in prison by spending 3 gold bars or passing 5 new levels by themselves.
If you want to rescue your teammates from prison but don't want to spend gold bars, you can deliberately fail and let yourself go to prison. After passing 5 new levels, all teammates in the prison can be released.
