Got a game question or need help? This is the place to ask!
Hey there, and thanks for the suggestion!
While this challenge is already in motion, and we don't want to confuse team further - this is great for us to look at for the next ones.
I do want to add though that this assumes that all players are active in the challenge - if any player isn't active or takes part in the challenge 100% there also becomes an imbalance there, and this also makes it a bit more complicated for new joiners to follow as well. π But I understand that it feels not super well balanced now with the current teams being in different numbers.
We'll try our best to balance Challenge #3 & #4 more so that this doesn't become as much of a problem!
Thank you for your response π
This formulated model in calculating scores provides fairness and balance to unequal count of players for any team.
What you're referring to of inactive player/s is a performance issue which can't be controlled. It has no bearing in calculating scores fairly. Player's count is concrete while performance is conditional. This will depend on many things.
Without a clear and balanced calculating system, it will be unfair to the team with fewer members because even if everyone performs well, they will still be at a disadvantage. Inactivity can happen both ways.
Thanks @LoFiGummy π Please don't stress yourself. At the end of the day, it's only a game. Perhaps rewards can be given more generously. πππ€£ Fingers crossed.
As the manager said it may produce imbalance in a team with many inactive players. For example, if team Z has 17 members with one inactive members and team W had 21 members with five inactive.
I think if the challenge is competing with the total numbers of chocolate blocks, the limitations of total entries for whole team is a simpler way.
If the challenge is competing with high score, it doesn't favourable to a more members team obviously.
Inconsequential in what I suggested. π Thanks for your input.
Z: 17-1 = 16
W: 21-5 = 16
It evens out πThen there's no more problem. π€£
Thanks for the laugh @michimune whether intended or not.
On a serious note, one has nothing to do with the other as I already explained previously. What you said after made sense but would disagree with the last statement. It's neither. All is needed is one player to produce a high score. It can come from either team. You'll never know.
Peace
Traci, this is Lisa the real ibnana, something is wrong with my account so I just made this one real quick, I can still play on my regular account, just can't access the community.
