Hey there, this is a part of how the game works - if you fail the level a number of times you will have lost all your lives, and you will regain them after some time.
In some events you can earn "unlimited lives" which is a heart with an infinite symbol, then you can play and try as many times as possible within that time you have it active. (For example you can have it for 15 minutes, and then you can try as many times as possible for 15 minutes.)
