There’s a new change being tested in Soda - a new shortcut menu! 🎮💫

ℹ️ For those playing in horizontal mode, the new menu will be available on the left side!

Why the change? We want to make Soda even easier to explore, faster to play, and more fun to dive into, so you can get straight to what you love! 💜 Whether it’s checking your events, visiting the shop, or jumping into your next level, everything is now just a tap away at the bottom of your screen.

🌟 What’s new?

An easy-to-reach menu at the bottom/left of your game screen
Quick access to your favorite places like Activities, Shop and more
Fewer taps = more playtime! 🎉

We know changes can take a moment to get used to, but we built this to help you find your way more smoothly and enjoy Soda your way! 🍭

Yeah I completely agree! And thanks for tagging 🤗

I think forcing the studio is really a bad idea. Maybe the reasons for not including this feature is maybe lack of resources, feature needs to analyze first (like they might save this idea for the future), or any valid reasons.

So yeah, we didn't know what will the studio's POV is 😅

So we'll just be patient and see if the idea was suggested and implemented 😊

I just got this new improved menu today 😅

Please please please keep pressing the studio to change that home button to stay at the level I’m playing and not to the new level. Scrolling back to level 451 from 10k isn’t fun. Once is okay(ish) but multiple times is just insane.

Don’t tell the studio this…cause it may hurt king’s feelings 🤪 between you and me, I don’t find this new menu that much easier or faster. I think the difference is just one click…the studio just removed that X (closed) button from each icon. That is only thing I noticed 😅

I hate the new navigation menu because is not working correctly in my Win10 laptop.

More specically I play an old level e.g. 464 I win it and then I click on the activities button. There is no way to leave my activities except the home button.n

If I press the home button it takes to my next new level 4171.

Which means if I play an old level I CANNOT NOT check my activities because if I do then I will be sent to my next new level.

Will you please remove me from the test group until you will fix the new menu?

With the new menu the only thing I can do is keep playing new levels

Since we have seen the feature added in more games - I think it might actually be time to bring up the idea again, if anyone is passionate about it - please feel free to add to Ideas. But again, no promises - but I definitely feel your and others pain in the scrolling that has been mentioned a few times.

In all honestly, I like it and hate it at the same time. Not that I hate it completely, since it looks cool, but it's a shame that LEVEL PORTAL or SEARCH BOX is the only REALLY way to satisfy us so that we can go to a specific level without issue. This idea was from CCFS, and it was came true. The studio is like make us suffer, especially for players who are Level 10000+

I have no problem completing new levels—except that I don't have enough new levels. At the end of the map, I often only have the option to return to old levels to play "4 in a row." Even when Batula forces me to play 21 new levels, I often fail because I don't have 21 new levels left. At the moment, I don't care because Batula's rewards don't warrant playing 21 new levels.

Anyway, there's probably nothing we can do to improve the experience anyway.

I suspect it's by design.

If you look at it, a level portal that MollyS and simplyP have mentioned here which many have also been requesting for ages was rejected.

The same with what you're saying with this new function where is doesn't go back to the same old level you were playing once you clicked other features but instead brings you back to your current level.

Both of these limitations along with the difficulties of scrolling back discourage one from doing just that. We're being forced to play new levels. For what reason?

It's a business after all. With old levels, we know which ones are easy to complete whereas the new ones we're not privy to. The higher you get in your map, the harder the levels are. With difficulties in completing new levels, better chance of one spending money to buy GBs or boosters. At the end of the day it's all about profit.

There's a major flaw in the new navigation. If you go back to older levels and play an old level (for example, level 451) and a button flashes in the navigation and you tap it, you can't go back to the level you were playing. You always end up at your current level, which in my case was level 17247.

It really hurts my wrists to go back to a lower level. Even if the idea of level navigation was rejected, I can't understand why. The referenced thread is here. The idea dates back to 2021 and was rejected without any comprehensible reason.

In terms of functionality, there's not much difference from the old one - it's one click away like the old version.

In terms of speed, yes a little faster but not significant. The problem is not how long it takes to get to the activities but constantly getting there one at a time every time you complete a level which is a pain especially when you're in a race. Although I must admit this has gotten better.

If the studio wants to keep this new set-up, may I suggest to make it smaller and not obstruct the level number next to it? I would think the bar is also not necessary. And please, make the design suitable for both young and old. 😉 I feel like I'm in nursery. 😄
