Hi @LoFiGummy to be fair I loved all the bears doing different things.
Personally I was drawn to cutie Soda Bear toasting marshmallows, it is the camp experience and feeling at one.
I played it back.

The Soda Islands feature is in early testing - so many things are still being worked on 😊 Including the bears and what they do - we're working on making them be more active in the different islands similarly to the previous versions of the bears that you show here.
I think the difference between older version and this version is not the size of island, just the design of bear😁
Your so-called older version also has this island—Snuggle Sand⤵️
In this version the bears turn from ugly into cutie👍, but most of them are just dumb standing now👎. As you see the right bear of ugly version, he is yawning not dumb standing in your cutie version ⤵️
In the later part of this island, a bear is diving in ugly version, I hope your bear knows how to dive not just dumb standing 😂

Many bears in this version are less interactive with the environment now.
I believe this is a new island :)
I've already posted some pictures of the islands. Since the last update, I'm back at the beginning? Is anyone else having this problem?

I have been playing the Soda Idlands feature a few days now and think its really fun. The extra boosters motivate me to keep playing. It reminds me of the grow a bear feature. I thought the intro video was super cute!

I had the older version, I enjoy this version due to the larger island and much more items were added. Alot more colorful.🙂😊

I got the event today and just started playing. I absolutely love it!
It is great to have an interactive main screen and see progress and not just level progress on a fixed screen!
The Soda Bears are super cute in animation, and building islands to connect them is a great way of playing more levels and progressing further.
It is making me play more, I love the building aspect, and as such I am earning more rewards from other events.
I am yet to evaluate the rewards from the Soda Islands as I am only just starting. I am looking forward to playing more!
BTW my progress in this game has been a bit stagnant as I have only been playing Bake A Cake for a long while as I like team events. This to me is engaging and something to keep me interested.

Hey and thanks for the feedback - the screenshot I have in the main post is from the intro - once you first see the Soda Islands, you have this little video playing to show what Soda Island is about.
But this is great for us to know.
For the last part regarding rewards, do you mean that you thought the rewards were underwhelming when building the islands?
No this works with the "Portal levels" if you are at the end (if you see the door) :) Stars are accumulated from new levels and the ones played via the door

I would love to join the new Soda Islands Test feature in the Candy Crush Soda Game. I will definitely send my thoughts and feedback on how I'm liking the Islands feature and if anything needs to be looked and or fixed. Thanks for reading this and I'm hoping you let me try this new feature out!

Your island is small, because it has 2 balls only, Nougat Nest is the fourth island.
The size of island depends on how many ball it has.
The first 4-ball island will be the fifteenth—Nibble Nook.

@LoFiGummy I have had the Soda Islands for a few days now. It's the first time I am trying this feature, I did not have the old version so can't compare the two. I think this is a good improvement from the old fountain that did nothing at all… boring and silly. I just don't see where this is leading… I keep building small islands and then starting over again? Nothing as big as what is shown in your pic above☝ but maybe more to come??
Positives: Interactive, chance to win more boosters.
Negatives: No connection of islands built, should build up to better rewards
