I can’t believe I just said those words in the title. Ever since the original Candy Crush pretty much abandoned the scoring system, which brought so much entertainment to the original, I’ve dreaded the day that Soda would follow in its footsteps. I was hoping all this time that it would never come to this. But alas it has.
It’s gone. Just…gone. Just like that. Even Kimmy is no longer there, replaced by this stupid bear that tells you nothing of what you just accomplished. I feel nothing when I see this.
It first started years ago when the scores made per individual match no longer showed up. And now it’s just outright removed. Gaining a high score was one of the main reasons I enjoyed playing levels. Getting over a million points in some levels was just awesome to see. Oh and the star system is just gone too. Poof. Just why? Even the original Candy Crush kept them, even if it’s just primarily for ceremonial purposes!
I am beyond upset and beyond disappointed by this. And I bet this change was made cause the developers don’t want you playing past levels (if the recent test outright forbidding replaying past levels indicates anything). They just want you to play new levels and new levels only. And going back and trying to get 3 stars on levels was counterproductive to that goal. So poof, it’s gone now.
I didn’t have much motivation to play Soda to begin with, due to many changes over the years being made I’m unhappy with, but now I have even less reason to play anymore.
