Why is my candy crush soda game replaced with an islands game? I don't want the islands game.

I guess I can thank the idiots who made this decision because it's caused me to stop playing. I remember when you'd win the weekly challenge and get like 9 hours of unlimited life. Now the boosters are next to garbage. But the islands was the final straw. The daily tasks x 3 was the only thing keeping me going. I was getting tired of the 4 in a row always paired with 2 people who would choose a block and then never do anything. But the islands was the final straw after years of playing the game finally ran me off with this.
Thank you for replying to my post of 7/14/26. I like your idea ("a counter for how many levels you have left") and if it goes live, I hope it's for "how many levels you have left until the next weekly reload". My next reload should occur on 7/17/26 but I'll patiently wait for a change to occur.
Hi mime3310, yes so sorry there is a glitch/bug here - it will be fixed when the next app version comes out. and yes Friday you can enjoy new levels :)
Quand on arrive à la fin ,la porte apparait mais on ne peut faire qu'une partie. Ça fait plusieurs jours que je ne peux pas jouer. Vivement vendredi ..ou pas
Appreciate your honest feedback jw6447. What do you think would help you? A counter for how many levels you have left? Something else? We will work on improvements on the player experience here so very valuable to hear what would help you.
Right now you can do some easy math for yourself to know how many levels you have left. It's perhaps not ideal, but something you can try if you ration your levels every week :) There is 12 levels per islands/episode, and every Friday there is 45 new levels. 1 hexagonal tile represents 1 level (you see some of them already placed at the start and end of the islands, these do not count towards the 12 levels, so it's the "sunken" tiles you should count).
Don't especially like Soda Sea (which I was forced to play). Especially don't like the fact that I can't determine the "end of level content" which allows me to avoid the dreaded pink cone/the door/"out to lunch", etc. (when I know how many levels are available to me, I can ration level plays accordingly to the next reload). Soda Sea screen only shows the level I am about to play (Level 19750). I can slide screen up/down/left/right but cannot slide to the end of my game map to see its level number. Soda Sea appears on both of my devices (Windows 11 laptop and iPhone). Am I the only person with a love/hate relationship with changes to CCSS?
Thank you for the honest feedback mindbells, we really appreciate it. Have you managed to play mastery league levels through the activities tab in the bottom bar? Does it glitch there too? The map is a way to provide more purpose to levels, please don't hesitate to tell us more in-depth what you don't like about it (and if there's some aspect of it you actually enjoy, that is of interest too of course). We want to provide a meaningful experience to you and all players, so your feedback is very valuable.
Personally, I don't care for it. It adds nothing to the game for me. The door didn't appear like usual. The mastery league levels glitches. It feels like another unnecessary change that's another step on what's been a path of ruining the game. You messed with the cake, the rocket, a few of the other bonus games that used to be good that were ruined and are no longer available. Go back.

That means you are at the end of level content, where you before had the door (it should still show now too). Levels are released every Friday so by then you can continue your island journey with new levels :) for now, you can play ‘mastery levels’ through that door and button you see in the middle of the screen, so you can enjoy playing while you wait for new levels. Please let us know what you think about it the islands when you have new levels tomorrow.
Same. It just appeared and it isn't even working. The level keeps saying it's on a lunch break so I can't even play the levels. I do not like it...and I do not like it. Ugh!!!
Hi jo714! Exactly what LoFiGummy is saying - you are one of the lucky ones getting to test a new experience of Soda - traveling through the Soda Sea and reuniting the bears. I understand it must feel different from what you are used to, so please let us know your thoughts and why you would like to bring back the old version. It will help us a lot! Thank you
