There certainly is a countdown of sorts. Have been getting this message daily, every time a new 4iaR starts. There's now 4 days left. I sure hope it's to some good surprise it's counting down for, and not the game going away, or we get yet another time reduction in game accessibility from New Year.

This change occurs once you hit a specific level. Then you lose them all at once. There will be difficult levels where you can some times win 3 bottles at once, for solving it, byg now you lose your whole bottle streak by losing one level.
