I am having the same issue the last few days. Not sure how long this has been a glitch as I was stuck on the same level for weeks.

I, too never receive the 20 minutes. I did notice that my silver and gold both reset to 0 instead of getting the award, but next time I log in, they have returned. Obviously a glitch that they don't care to fix.
