Why do you still have to use gold coins when you have a free ticket?It is just a little less gold to play.

I switched to King's game from Disney and the other one (can't remember) they are all doing this..so..have to accept it as part of the game.
Sorry for replaying late but I can explain why this happens.
The free entry ticket actually reduces the amount of coins required to play a level by the same amount required at x1 multiplier. This means free entry with x1 multiplier.
But as this amount does not adapt to other multipliers, on x2 multiplier, you'll spent the same amount of coins that you'll have to spent if you played that level in x1 multiplier alongside one free entry ticket.
For instance, If 8000 coins are needed to play a level, then the free entry ticket reduces the amount of coins required to play a level by 8000 and means:
