Looks to be a feature in trial as not everyone has got it so it might not be working as intended. If they are not registering then it's not surprising that your not receiving the rewards. I take it you've already checked for any updates in the App store?

Are you getting lives sent from friends in Facebook or Kingdom?

What's happening when your trying to connect to Facebook, do you get an error or something? What do you mean by the keyboard is funky by the way? If you use the FB app, make sure you've got the latest update for that too, failing that you can uninstall it and connect to Facebook with the usual web browser pop up.
