If your playing on a Windows 10 PC, go to the Windows Store and download the game app instead of playing it directly from Facebook. There seems to be an issue with Facebook connection recently, the events and promotions all run through being connected to Facebook or Kingdom so it's probably causing some issues. Should be getting looked into…

If the progress isn't uploading from your iPad then maybe it would be an idea to troubleshoot your connection to Facebook in the game as it could be failing to sync: https://care.king.com/en/candy-crush-saga/lost-your-connection-to-facebook-ios

If you have Windows 10 then you should really be playing from the game app directly rather than through a browser. Just head to the Windows Store and download it, you'll be back to playing in no time and will also be able to reap the benefits of being able to store messages longer than just for one game session!

As long as you actively connected your game to either Facebook or Kingdom, your progress will be saved and synced to it. If you did, when you reconnect to that account in the game again, the progress from the point where it was last synced will come up.
