You need to fill up the Butterfly with a same color of blocks as there is no key, only the Butterfly can save your pet. I think it's around 15-20 that are needed in order to activate the butterfly.

It does seem strange that it's not included in this version of Candy when it's in the others. It could also be limitation due to the design of the game and the way it's been made.

You're friends is probably playing on a PC as that's where new levels get released first, the update for mobile usually doesn't take long to follow but if you don't want to be behind then playing on PC is the place to be. :)
