A new friend has found their way to the Farm! From level 1061 onward you'll be able to see a cute little Hedgehog!
The change of season has woken up this sleepy new friend. With their help, reaching your goals can be even easier.
Matching the moving Hedgehog
When you match Cropsies next to the Hedgehog, it will wake up one stage. Make three matches and the hedgehog will wake completely and be able to help you with its special move!
Double-tap the hedgehog and it will clear Cropsies in all the immediate adjacent spaces around it. Depending on the level, these will be collected for any goal totals you might be working toward, or removed from the board to clear some space for new Cropsies.
Here is the Hedgehog clearing some Cropsies to be counted in the level goal :
As a bonus, anything blocking your board (like leaves) will also be reduced by one layer when the Hedgehog is activated. Other characters in the level, such as Fidget or Darwin, will also have their own power triggered too, so expect some activity!
On the Wind levels, the Hedgehog will also move in the direction of the wind caused by your Cropsie move. On levels without Wind, the Hedgehog will drop down the board just like Cropsies, Crows and other game elements.
Other in-game features have different effects with the Hedgehog, so be sure to experiment and find out what else it can do!
When the Hedgehog won’t move.
In some levels the Hedgehog is stubborn and no matter what you do to encourage it, it just won’t move an inch!
In these levels, you won’t be able to swap it with other Cropsies, but you still may need to collect it in your goals so be sure to check your task for the level.
It won’t be affected by the wind created by your matches, and it won’t move down the board when you free space beneath it either. What a head-strong Hedgehog!
The great news is, you can still match adjacent to it three times to wake up it’s power and double tap it to clear those surrounding Cropsies, so keep it included in your level plans.
Boosters and the Hedgehog
Your Watering Can and Basket won’t have any effect on the Hedgehog, but as the Gardening Glove protects you from the Hedgehog’s prickly spines, you can use them to tickle it awake. Just like matching Cropsies next to it, you can use the glove to awaken it one stage at a time. This is handy if you can’t find an adjacent match nearby.
