Both myself and a friend who plays aren't receiving lives we send or help over the wall.  This all started with the updated system, which has not been an improvement at all.

Firstly, is this a real life friend or just somebody on your friends list? Either way, there could be a delay in sending/receiving lives depending on the quality of your internet connection. I know that sometimes updates can cause problems and sometimes the best way to fix it is to save your progress then uninstall/re-install the app. I have had to do that myself a couple of times. Unfortunately, you will lose any saved boosters if you do that.

In the mean time I will contact @QueenB and see if she can help further.
