The faster speeds were a test. It doesn't mean that they won't come back. I would think that as we have the option to have normal speed in the accessibility menu, that they are planning on bringing that back.
Facebook itself if you are playing through that on a browser, has a glitch that is affecting some players boosters. The studio are investigating. Not on mobiles/w10 though.
Are you using a phone to play or some kind of game app on a pc?
Same issues here on FB app...all my collected boosters are gone too. Also speed is back to lame mode. Annoying. player support, was no help. Guess I will have to stop playing this game. Will give it one more shot, if not fixed I am done with it.

Ah I am sorry it could be related to that π₯ I know that King don't advise saving too many as they are saved on your phone rather than on your account. Which means if something happens to the data, whether you uninstall or the phone itself messes up in updating, they can be lost.
I think the best thing to do would be to contact player support through the help center in the game. They can check your account to see if they can see where they have gone, but we cannot do that so that would be the best option π€
