I have been stuck on level 188 for Farm House Saga for ages. HELP someone!

Yes! As long as you have 0 before you start a level and press play, you buy with beans. If you buy once the level starts, as you found then its gold.

Are you aware you can buy 3 shovels for 250 beans before you start the game? I am asking as so many got to higher levels and didn't know 🤷♂️

No, you need to make as much water as you can so that it drops next to one of those grass seeds, then combine them and grass grows. The grumpy crops won't go until they land on the grass. But if you make a match that has any grumpies in it, even if it's just one grumpy, they will all turn grumpy again. Even if the rest were on the grass. Have a look at the video, hopefully it will give you an idea of how to play the level 🤗

My problem is I can't seem to get 3 of anything in line that is not "angry". Am I doing something wrong?
Hi @Sheilamary and welcome to the community. I am sorry, I missed this until now. Have you seen the video for that level? If it has changed, let me know and I will amend it.
Make grass to cover the board, I would recommend doing it in a large area rather than several smaller areas.
Once you make grass, the grumpy crops falling on it will clean up and become happier. AND you get extra points on those cropsies too. That means you need to collect less of them to finish the level 😁 Let me know if it helps or not (or if its changed!)
