@encantes I can´t say that this is close to where I live. I live in the middle of sweden and the pictures are from the far south where I use to spend a couple of weeks every year. Now it is long time since I was there. It is the west coast of sweden don´t know the english name of the water. In swedish it is kattegatt and that the water that is between sweden and denmark. Connected to the northsea (at least I think thats the name in english) in swedish nordsjön.

The ocean/water could some times get "angry" with high wawes when it was windy. But most of the times it was just small wawes or really still. You wouldn´t think that the pictures are from the same place.

Hello @encantes I live in the WACHAU and there isn't an ocean or lake nearby.

The Wachau ([ vaˈxaʊ̯ ], with stress on the "au" [aʊ̯] in the last syllable) is the landscape in and around the valley of the Danube between Melk and Krems an der Donau in Lower Austria , about 80 kilometers west of the federal capital Vienna . In 2000, it was included in the list of UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage sites as the Wachau Cultural Landscape with the Melk and Göttweig monasteries and the old town of Krems .

With an average water flow of around 6855 m³/s [3] and a total length of 2857 kilometers [1] after the Volga, the Danube is the second largest and second longest river in Europe . The river drains large parts of central and south-eastern Europe. It flows through or touches ten countries ( Germany , Austria , Slovakia , Hungary , Croatia , Serbia , Bulgaria , Romania , Republic of Moldova and Ukraine) – more than any other river on earth.

The Danube derives its name from the union of two source rivers, the Brigach and the larger Breg , both of which have their source in the Central Black Forest . It crosses three large basin landscapes: the northern foothills of the Alps and the Vienna Basin (upper reaches), the Pannonian lowlands (middle reaches) and the Wallachian lowlands (lower reaches). It cuts through the separating mountains in narrow valleys , the most famous sections of which are the Danube Gorge near Beuron , the Danube Gorge near Weltenburg , the Wachau , the Hainburg Gate(also Prussian Gate) and the Iron Gate . The stream empties into the Black Sea via the extensive Danube Delta .

The Danube is one of the oldest and most important European trade routes and connects different cultures. Political tensions and wars repeatedly caused the waterway to be closed and obstructed . Since the fall of the Iron Curtain, the Danube has regained its economic importance. The river connects many species-rich and unspoilt natural areas and is an important location for hydroelectric power plants .

Hi @encantes I took this picture in the evening yesterday, while I was relaxing with my husband on the boardwalk in Ocean City, Maryland. This beach is about 1hr. and fourth-five minutes from my house.

I'm in Texas and not near an ocean but this lake is a place i love going to with my dog. Ducks and deer roam freely.

@encantes Life here where I live revolves around water and has since the beginning of time as far as I have known it well as far as the history books record it anyway here's a picture of our Capital City Charleston WV and you can see it was built right in front our Kanawha River......Kanawha river is used for mining salt, transportation, and for it's wide variety of water sports that brings in all types of world athletes and not to leave out our greatest event of all our Regatta as we say it " Ýou Gotta Regatta on the Kanawha "
