How do I spend the geen beans. I have collected plenty over the years but I can't use them

Good evening, as already said, you use them to buy shovels, if you have 0, on the page where you press play to start the level, you can buy 3 shovels with 250 green beans. Also you use them to activate companions by selecting the companion you want to use π
