The new board colors need contrast. They're not pleasant to the eyes and are difficult to see. I'm sorry but the color combinations are awful.
Please see below examples:
1.) Yellow to yellow and gray to gray
2.) Pink to pink

I agree with @SApple2 the red background is awful 😞.
I actually have to stop playing for quite a while because of my epilepsy. I remember the studio tried new color backgrounds about a year ago, nobody liked them
If people want the new color backgrounds how about they implement an on/ off button under accessibility.

Why are you apologizing?😮 There's nothing to apologize for. I didn't take your words the wrong way. I agree with you that's why I clicked helpful as a reaction. Enhancement of the contour of the cropsies is a good idea and what you said below.

I know the game has both white and black sheep. What I meant was that if the studio decided to stay with the current gray board, as is, then white sheep would be better, referring to the first example I posted above. They can place the black on the alternative board or find ways to make it visible.
If they change the shades even if it's gray/blue-gray where the black sheep can be seen then that's better.
They just need to find combinations of colors that will make it easier for players to see the cropsies and blockers.
Right now these are difficult to see:
1.) Sun on hay
2.) Black sheep on dark or light gray/blue-gray
3.) Strawberry on red
4.) Flower on pink
It's also important to have contrast.

The catch is, they do have white sheep and black sheep. Maybe they could enhance the contour of the cropsies a bit, so that they don’t get confused with the background… 🤔
I used to play on a phone, and there are a lot of things I didn’t know the game had, until I played on an iPad. 😅

Personally I prefer sharp colors than pastel. I don't mind the gray cells but they're almost blending. There should be a contrast between the alternating cells. Perhaps they could lighten up the lighter gray cell a bit?
Also, if the combination of grays will be used with the sheep, wouldn't it be better if the white sheep is used instead of black? The sun on the hay is almost indistinguishable. I can see it but how about the elderly players or those who have vision problems?
The pink board is a no no. I think it's best to leave that color on a cotton candy, cake or ice cream. 😂

I think a combination of white and light grey would work best, maybe even two different shades of light grey. That would work in both normal levels and hard levels. We know which one is which because of the main background, anyway.
Hey there @SApple2, thank you for the feedback! I've shared it with the studio, they are currently testing the board and the backgrounds to see what works the best for players - and this helps them a lot in making it better.
