Pokémon ad causing issues

is anyone else getting a Pokémon ad popping up during a game, not at the end where you can choose to see adverts?
It either causes a black screen, which you have to tap to see an X to close it and often do it repeatedly, or the ad is displayed in a box which is 50% of the screen size and you cannot see any X to close it.
I am playing on an iPhone and currently have unlimited lives for 24 hours.
I don’t know if either of these are the issue or if it’s the advert itself.
