    Day 19

I would bring one of my favorite pies:

    Pear 🍐and chocolate 🍫 tart

    Ingredients

    • 1  puff pastry  or pie crust
    • 4 pears fresh and ripe (or canned pears)
    • 200 grams dark chocolate
    • 200 ml coconut milk additive free
    • 1 Tablespoon starch

    Instructions

    • Preheat oven to 200Β°C
    • Roll out the store bought puff pastry or pie crust.
    • Transfer to a pie pan lined with parchment paper.
    • Prick the pie crust or puff pastry with a fork to prevent it from inflating. Then put it for 10 minutes in the oven to precook it.
    • In the meantime, cut the pears in half, peel them and remove the seeds and core by digging in the pear flesh with a knife.
    • Then put the chocolate in a saucepan and make it melt with the coconut milk over medium low heat. Once the chocolate is melted, add the starch and stir. Let it cook for 5 minutes while still stirring.
    • Spread the chocolate mix over the pie crust. Add the pears on top of the chocolate. Optional: you can cut the pears crosswise to make them more beautiful. Put the pie in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until it gets a nice golden color. And voilΓ ! Let it cool and serve.

    Bon appΓ©tit! πŸ˜‹

    Day 19

I would bring a Purple Sweet Potato Mochi Pie. This is a personal recipe of mine.

    Ingredients:

6 small to medium Okinawan sweet potatoes

    1 can light coconut milk

    2 cups milk

    2/3 cup maple syrup

    1/4 cup condensed milk

    1 tbs. melted butter

    pinch of salt

    1 box Mochiko

    Directions:

Bake the sweet potatoes at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes or so until soft. Peel after it cooled down.

Blend the sweet potatoes with the remaining ingredients except the Mochiko. When well blended combine with the Mochiko until smooth.

Oil two pie plates. Pour the divided mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean.

Let it cool down on the rack before serving.

Okinawan sweet potato has a deep purple color when cooked.
