Sheep are not killed, you have to get them to a field where there is hay, and that will get rid of them 🙂

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with the sheep. Please keep in mind that in order to collect a sheep you have to move them on to a haybale.
When you make a match adjacent to the sheep, the sheep will move to the spot you swapped to.
