Were you not satisfied with Janicka's explanation? You can use the magic beans as Janicka explained.

* If you don't have any shovels in your inventory, you can buy three for 250 beans.
* You can activate your companions before each game so they can help you. All you have to do is check the box next to the companion you want. Depending on your selection, it costs between 70 and 90 of these green magic beans.

Hi, green beans can only be used to buy three shovels for (250 beans) or to activate companions at the beginning of the game (70, 80 or 90 beans) 🌹
