there is an issue with the board - I can’t progress because the parcel is sitting on top of the level so I can’t get at it

Hi @LeaC.
Usually, if you touch the parcel, it will give you a couple of boosters as gifts, then it disappears and you can go on with your game. Is it not doing that? 🤔

Force close apps and restart your device.
Check that you have the latest game and device updates
You need a strong connection wi fi is better and at least 2gig of free memory then clear the game cache as overloaded cache can create issues
Android: Settings > Apps > Candy Crush Soda > Storage > Clear Cache
iOS: Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data
