The stars earned from completing the levels are converted to gold bars and kept in the piggy bank. However, the gold bars are not free. You will get another chance to play the previous failed level the next day, except for day 7. If you don't complete all 7 daily levels before end of day 7, you won't get the weekly reward which contains the stickers for Tiffi's Summer costume.
