I have not been able to figure out what to do with the Squirrel, or the Acorn?

Can someone please tell me what is the purpose of the Red Squirrel, and the darn acorn???

You have to bring the Acorns near to the Squirrel. Then, the Squirrel will collect that Acorn. If you can tell me which level you are playing, I will be able to assist you better.
