What happens when I link my accounts, do I lose anything? I want to just use my first name in my Farm Hero’s Saga game but cannot find a way to change it and use the new Avatar I selected.

I have won level 5057 on 2 different devices and the game will not progress past that level.
I have more levels available, but the game will not progress. The first time, I thought I must have missed something. This time I know I did not. Game is UTD and cache has been cleared.
