Darwin is not a goat! :) Maybe you meant Darwin + the goats, that makes sense, and I am doing that fairly often i.e. it is useful in many levels/situations.

I am far from the quoted level 3974 for now, right now I am trying to reach the 3400 mark i.e. I am playing the levels 3300+.
Once I reach the 3970+ mark, I will be sure to try the suggestions given. 😀
some updates:Since those froze would not always be on the same stuff every game.If the pervious way was still too hard and you don't want to use any boosters on those froze.You can try to wait the game which doesn't have any froze on both of the acorns.
Why this happened?—> No matter how those cropies/acorns arranged.Those froze are always at the same places in the beginning.Only cropies/acorns would be changed to random places every game.(my conclusion after observing several games)

This will be confusing somehow.But there is a way to collect those 2 acorns.The key of collecting them is Darwin(yes,those goats)
Try your best to put them on the hay,and activate Darwin to get it.It needs some skill(and luck).

Yeah, looks wrong to me too.
That said, you can use the Hand glove booster to solve it. :)
