Blockers are tiles that get in the way of your goal. You’ll have to get rid of them or work past them in order to win. On certain levels, you’ll need to harvest blockers as part of your goal.
Most blockers can be removed by matching blocks in the spaces next to them or hitting them with blasts from your boosters. Some blockers will come in several layers, so you’ll need to hit them multiple times if you want to clear them from the board.
What types of blockers appear in the game?
Plants: Plant blockers stay fixed in place on the board, even when the tiles underneath them are removed. They can have more than one layer.
Virus: These thorny branches spread across the board by one space at the end of every turn. Try to eliminate them as soon as possible, so that they don’t get overgrown.
Ice: This can trap blocks, boosters and other items underneath its surface. Frozen blocks can’t be moved, however, they can still be matched. Ice can even trap pets - in which case, you’ll need to match blocks beside it to set them free.
Clouds: Clouds cover up the items or pets underneath. They come in two colors - black and white.
Bubbles: These soapy suds cover up items, just like ice. You’ll still be able to match the blocks underneath, however, you will not be able to activate boosters under bubbles.
Flowers: Flowers are large blockers that take 5 hits to remove. The remaining number of petals tells you how many more hits are needed to remove the flower.
Colorlock: The number on the lock indicates how many blocks of that color must be matched before the lock will disappear. Blasts won’t affect it, or pass though through it.
Pet carrier: Match the pet carrier with blocks of the same color to open it up and release the pet inside. These carriers are tough, so they can’t be opened with blasts.
