After freezing intermittently for a while Pet Rescue has reset itself and taken me back to level one. I Hadn't saved my progress on facebook; does this mean I have lost my progress to date?
Have you backed up your device recently, via iTunes or your PC? I don't think its 100% but if you have maybe your progress is saved there. Did you connect to the Kingdom in the games (the 3 crowns)
