No coins for levels completed in sunny/stormy island. How can I buy boosters if I can't earn coins.

King had to change the game on Facebook because the old version will soon not work on there any more. This post explains it:

Coins can still be exchanged between friends and won when you pass a new level (but not bonus game levels)

There is a known glitch where some players are missing theirs, but King are working on a fix. See this post

Give the game a chance you might find it is not that different from before, and if you have any specific problems, just post here and we will help.
