Cannot log in to my account via email

I have continually tried to log in to my account but keep getting a notification that there is a connection error and try again a bit later. I have cleared cache and restarted device. Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately I just uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my Samsung and I have lost my progress. I had achieved level 667 (after spending weeks on level 666) and now I am sitting on level 265
