If you head to the app store and search for the game you should be able to update it from there. You also need to make sure you have the latest software on your Kindle to support the app. 

How about memory, have you checked how much free space you have, how many apps you have open etc?

If you go to the app settings in the bottom left corner you can disconnect from Facebook or Kingdom, whichever one you use to save your game :) 

I think this has something to do with your iOS version. The 5.1 update is from 2012 so I think you will need to update to the latest version as I think the old one won't support the new app which is why you can't update it.

This happened because the app is designed to save the highest level, so if you log in with an account with a lower level, it will automatically overwrite the existing game.
