Quests, events, promotions are added to players games normally randomly. They don't seem to go out to every player so it sounds like your husband has this one and you don't on this occasion.

I think you just updated the game. This is normal for all players. King have changed the format so now we get told the difficulty of each level before we play it. It's the same in normal Candy.

King have always updated and changed levels. This is normal. You lost 50 free items, that refresh for free... Using lives is part of the game, you can't expect to have them given back to you.

I haven't seen any issues like this before. Can you post up a screenshot of pop up please. Maybe I can help if I can see it :)

If the game is crashing this is something you will need to sort out. Follow the troubleshooting steps here: https://care.king.com/en/candy-crush-saga/loading-crashing-issues-ios You still have the gold bars right? So once your app is up and running you can use them then :)

It's because these levels are not available on mobile yet. Facebook is always in front in regards to levels, normally by one episode. You might have to wait a little before the levels are released.
