First off, try the tips in this video. They have helped me in the past: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OESCE4Jj2tU I also say that you can try a different browser altogether and you should also check that you don't have a lot of other programs open or anything that is taking up a lot of memory.

Did you change the settings in the game or in your phone settings? You can block notifications in your phone but also in candy. If you go to the settings (bottom left button on the home screen) you will see a cog and if you go into this menu there's a section for notifications. Here you can switch off the full lives one :)

The lock is just for the boosters that appear later in the game. There's nothing wrong there. In this level its just about getting to the bottom using as fewer moves as possible to get to the glass. See if you can pick up a strategy like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6uP4k8A6Tk

That's strange, you're playing on facebook right? See if removing and re-adding the game works. You won't lose your levels so it's all good. Just click on the cog next to the game in he facebook menu and remove it. Then you can search and add it again. Did you change any other settings lately?
