Its a promotion that not everyone gets unfortunately. King normally split their players up when it comes to promotions and add it to say 50% of their players games. Keep your fingers crossed that you get the next one.

If you're talking about the popcorn then it has several layers so you have to hit it with several striped candies to remove it. Check out this video and you will see exactly what I mean. Hopefully this helps.

The boosters are saved in the app, like local data. If the app updates or your phone updates or if the app restarts then its possible that you will lose your boosters. They don't sync with Facebook like your progress/gold bars do.

There's no option to change the volume in the games itself so I'm not sure what you can do, its not the app because the only option is sound on or off. I guess a bit of investigation is called for. If your progress is saved then try maybe removing the app and installing it fresh.
